This feeling inside of me… when an animal’s eyes come to life in my painting. My own vision shifts with her iris’ awakening. Our companionship deepens and I move from “me” to “we”. We are the fox, moving forward. Darkness falls and snow drifts around the studio. When I can finally drag myself away, I’ll be padding home on four feet.
