RISE
“Rise” is about light. She is Cheetah who lived with the stars before coming into body on Earth. When it came time to embody, the stars didn’t want to leave her, so they inverted their light into black spots on her body and gave her the ability to see during daytime at distances of over 3 miles.

This was the story which came to me when I was painting her predecessor “Aurora”, and I was so excited about this relationship with light (which is physiologically true) and this myth-like story of friendship with starlight, that I had to explore it farther on a larger scale. There are layers and layers of paint, and I worked to capture what was happening to the stars as they inverted into the dark spots on Cheetah and entering her body as unsurpassed vision.

“Rise” calls in the energy of seeing your goal and knowing on a molecular level that you have the power to reach it.
