WISDOM OF THE WIND
It is amazing when they come…. Hawk medicine to start my five month journey with the animals this Winter of 2021-2022.
I move through the threshold of feather, fur, skin. I adjust my seeing. I allow my human hands to grab color and move, manipulating dust and grit over texture and tooth, catching and filling microscopic crevices in paper. I stop thinking about my moves. I just move.
With Hawk, I am informed by wind. Wind surrounds her and enters her, invisible, yet informing her body, her mind. With crystalline vision, she lives with certainty, confidence, and trust in her abilities to sift truth from fodder.
This is what she tells me as we create each other.
